Let me set the scene: It’s hot outside. You’ve gone down to the lake to cool down. You’re thirsty, but you don’t want to get out of the water. Enter: the Gooch Drop (Taint Transfer?), the most innovative form of drink delivery humanity has pioneered to date.
In a video posted to TikTok, New Hampshire-based Mica Buck demonstrated his Gooch Drop skills for the entire world to see while showcasing this inventive method of keeping your friends hydrated. Standing in the water, Mica’s friend calls out to him, “Mica, grab me a twea!” (referring to a Twisted Tea), to which Mica responds, “Do you want it piss missile or airmail?” Mica’s friend wants it delivered via airmail, so airmail it is.

Mica then tucks the can of Twisted Tea between his legs, grabs onto the rope swing in front of him and swings down toward the water. He swings incredibly high above his friends in the water — seriously, this rope is crazy long — before opening his legs and letting the can fall down, directly into his friend’s awaiting hands. The guy behind the camera, incredulous, cries, “What? Direct deposit?!” as his friend cheers and cracks open his twea. Incredible, incredible stuff.
The video comes with a warning that the actions in the video are performed by professionals and should not be tried at home, and Mica himself stresses that he is a trained professional and the video was filmed on a closed course. Perhaps, though, Mica could open up training centers to teach others this rarefied art of beverage delivery; frankly, a skill this useful should be taught in schools — bartender or otherwise.
